The Cherub is a religious symbol that appears in a number of cultures. It is a second-order guardian angel charged with attending God and is typically depicted by a chubby child with wings. I co-opted the symbolism, incorporated a few of former President 45’s recognizable physical traits (lips, hair, coon eyes), added devil horns to suggest the duality of his nature and opportunistic hypocrisy. It is made in Mexico, cheap ceramic, but painted using a time-honored tradition typically reserved for plant pots. Some see the POTUS as a demon, some an angel. Regardless of your political inclination, most agree that our country and the world would be better served if he would “put a cork in it.”
